Renowned for enhancing the natural beauty of already stunning individuals, celebrity make-up artist Giulia Cresci demonstrated her unparalleled talent during Boudicca's inaugural photo shoot in the charming city of Florence, Italy. In this exclusive interview, we delve into Giulia's expertise in the realms of fashion and lifestyle, all while reflecting on her collaboration with Boudicca.

  1. What is the first thing you do in the morning?

Just my beauty routine with lots of cream tonic and serium and then a good good Italian breakfast!

  1. What would you never leave home without?

My jewellery. I always wear a lot of rings and necklaces and I have some that I never leave - my grandmother‘s engagement ring and a necklace with a lucky Madonna… they are my protection for the day.

  1. What are your must-have wardrobe staples?

A total black or white cotton t shirt and a cashmere sweater.

  1. How would you describe your personal style?

Feminine, comfortable but sexy rock.

  1. What is a trend you’re happy to see go out of fashion?

Knee-length pants, that doesn't suit anyone.

  1. Who inspires you?

I work in the big fashion industry so I can take inspiration from many things and people that I meet everyday …

I believe that all the people that we cross in our life can give you a clue to find your true self.

  1. Who are your favourite designers and brands?

I love Dior, YSL, Gucci and Alberta Ferretti.

  1. How did you get into make-up artistry?

Really For fun... I grew up with two brothers, so I've always been a tomboy, I never put makeup to myself and I've never played with dolls, but I've always liked Art and I'm into aesthetic.

I love simple and beautiful things.

One day when I was 17 years old talking to a friend who had started being a photographer, he gave me the idea - and you know when you don’t stop to think about something... So I decide to go to Milan and go to makeup and hair school during my university year (I studied chemistry). After school I started being an assistant to an incredible makeup artist who after a few days made me live the emotion of a fashion show… I was only 18 years old and that day I decided that I would want to do this work for the rest of my life and despite the difficulties I realised my dream.

  1. What is your favorite thing about your job?

I can meet many people from all over the world and with make-up I can pop up the beauty of all my clients without having to change them too much… all people have something special but sometimes they don’t know how to make it shine.

  1. What is your biggest challenge when approaching a new job?

Understand the client and the target, sometimes it is more a psychological approach and then I can express my art.

  1. What was your experience of working with Boudicca on their first photoshoot?

When I arrived at the studio I felt the incredible good energy that was there.. first of all, all the Boudicca team was lovely and they totally trust to me, I had to speak with them to understand the project and then it was easy for me to realize my look’s idea for the brand…  the quality of the product was really high and good, so all the Boudicca pieces already speak for themselves alone, they don’t need too much, just a beautiful sexy feminine look

  1. What's your best make-up tip/advice?

Just do a very light glowing foundation and never do a thick coverage... as Coco Chanel said “less is more”.

  1. Anything else you would like to share with us?

Lots of love!!!!!
